Twice each year PTS will present a status report on the Agency’s work regarding co-financing support for expansion of broadband. This report is the first of this kind. The report reflects the first half year of PTS’s work with co-financing, from October 15, 2010 to April 15, 2011.
The report presents for example information about the funds PTS so far have granted and how these funds have been divided between Counties and programmes. Furthermore, examples are given of a number of projects that have been granted funds, and reporting procedures for completed projects are presented.
The report also discusses factors affecting the co-financing, such as measures taken by the Swedish Board of Agriculture for increased funds for expansion of broadband within the Rural Development Programme. Recently PTS’s guidelines for co-financing were revised, which is also being highlighted in the report. In addition, the report describes effects of the co-financing on the work of the Government’s Broadband Council to promote the use of funds, and also, the status of the organization Länssamverkan Bredband.
