Long distances and inaccessibility make it increasingly onerous for Posten to maintain a daily delivery service for these households. Instead mail is delivered one to four days a week by rural carriers or using what are known as ‘mailbags’. The list below shows Posten’s report on how the number of residential customers without a five day delivery is distributed in the postal districts.
