Status report on coordination work with Russia
25.2.2011
ITU’s preparatory meeting (CPM) prior to the 2012 World Radio Conference (WRC-12) is currently underway.
Sweden is actively working to ensure that the need for coordination on the part of Sweden is minimised as far as possible. Depending on the outcome of the work now ongoing within the framework of the CPM, together with the outcome of any bilateral negotiations, Sweden may support either bilateral agreements or one of the methods currently being developed at the CPM. The CPM meeting now in progress is a preparatory, not a decision-making, meeting. PTS is of the opinion that the findings from the CPM meeting will not result in any changes to the preconditions for using the 800 band.
Previous information from PTS regarding this matter:
- Open Invitation, Section 2.7.2 ‘Radio navigation in other countries’, see further down this page
- Notice further down this page: ‘Extract of data for notified transmitters and receivers in Russia’, published on 7 September 2010
