The number of mobile subscriptions with at least 1 GB per month as well as the total volume of data traffic transferred in mobile networks is on the increase. By contrast, mobile subscriptions without data have decreased. This is revealed in Swedish Telecommunications Market 2016, the report from the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS), which describes developments in the market last year.

The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) is financing the continued development of Mina tjänster Sverige AB’s Mina Tjänster (“My Services”) app. PTS has three primary objectives in providing the financing: to improve the range of options provided by the app (for example, for persons with disabilities), to expand the app’s capacity to keep track of expenses, and to increase its ability to manage subscription services.

The amount of mobile data is continuing to increase at a significant rate. The average monthly amount of data used for a private subscription is almost 4 GB. This is shown in ‘The Swedish Telecommunications Market – First Half-year 2016’, a report issued by the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority.
